About Us

Hartman Publishing celebrates 15 years of educating frontline healthcare workers. Caregiving at Home, our inaugural trade publication, allows caregivers to offer the best possible care for an aging loved one in the comfort of home. Now family caregivers have access to the same full-color, step-by-step procedures and important guidelines that teach our paid caregiving workforce. And, our friendly format and language won't frustrate the lay reader!

Publicity & Marketing

We work with Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs), home health agencies, and aging referral sources to promote Caregiving at Home as a resource for family caregivers.

We notify these organizations by postcard each time we establish a new reseller in their community.

About the Author

William Leahy, MD, practices neurology outside Washington, DC. His first book, Providing Home Care: A Textbook for Home Health Aides, was the seed for this family caregiver project. Royalties from his books fund a foundation for teaching high school students about health care careers.

Dr. Leahy speaks to groups about enriching our communities and volunteers his spare time to teach. He has been named a "2005 Hometown Hero" by Washington Magazine.
